It Has Finally Happened!

http://www.roadrunner.travel/article-6642.php

The link above is to the photo gallery for my article that I had submitted to a motorcycle magazine. I got the call two days before Christmas that they had accepted my story and it was to run in the March/April issue, due out at the end of February. I couldn't believe it, I was going to be published on a national level. I thought that this would make a fitting second blog entry for this week and offer me the opportunity to share my photos with everyone. All of the pictures that I submitted with my story were taken with a "point and shoot" digital camera and no photo manipulation was used. Out of the 17 photos that I submitted, 12 of them made it into this gallery.

Seattle or Bust

Last weekend I took a trip to Seattle, WA to conduct some business with a friend of mine who owns an art gallery up there. The trip was hard for me because Friday I had started to feel a cold rolling in, so I knew it was going to be miserable. We made the trip Saturday, but I was able to ingest enough DayQuil to make myself behave like a normal human being. Stopping in Lacey, WA to eat some spicy teryaki beef from Season's Teryaki helped to clear the sinuses. After sleep and a really good breakfast, the one place that I really wanted to see before I left was Pike St. Market. I had always wanted to see some fish thrown around like I had seen on TV. The thing that caught my eye the most was the lobster tails they had. in particular, one tail that was bigger than the others. I had one of the people in my group put her hand next to it so that I had a comparison. The whole trip, despite my sickness, was a success and I was able to maintain my demeanor for the better part of the trip home. I was very glad that I didn't have class on Monday, I was completely worthless and didn't do much to get off the couch.
